Adam Handler

アダム・ハンドラー

Born in 1986 NYC and grew up on Long Island, New York. As a young child and adolescent, he spent countless hours at his grandparents framing factory in Brooklyn. There, his passion for the arts grew and it became inevitable that he too would discover the many possibilities of art. Handler studied Classical Life Drawing in Italy and went on to graduate from Purchase College with a degree in Art History. He has also studied Craft Design, Art Restoration, Sculpture and printing color photography with Deborah Mesa Pelly. His dynamic brushstrokes and intriguingly used colors allow his characters to move around in several dimensions and it inspires for further internal conversation.


1986年ニューヨーク州ロングアイランド出身。幼少期から青年期にかけ、ブルックリンにある祖父母の額装工場で多くの時間を過ごし、そこで出会った数々のクリエーションは今日に続く彼の芸術への情熱に大きな影響を与えた。 ハンドラーはイタリアで人体デッサンを学び、美術史の学位を取得後パーチェス・カレッジを卒業。 デボラ・メサ・ペリー（1968）のもとで工芸デザイン、美術修復、彫刻、カラー写真の印刷も学んだ経験がある。彼のダイナミックな筆遣いと巧みな色遣いは、描かれるキャラクターに数次元に及ぶ動きを与え、鑑賞者の内的世界へインスピレーションを与えてくれるだろう。
