-作品の説明、コンセプト

見えない大きな存在や、気配、といったものを感じるような作品を油絵で描くことが多いです。自然や人など綺麗なものや、一見可愛いく見える中に潜む不安や恐怖感を表現したいという思いで制作しています。
 

【Statement・Concept】

I often create oil paintings that evoke a sense of unseen larger entities or presence. My works aim to express beauty in nature or people, while hiding underlying feelings of unease and fear beneath the surface, even in seemingly cute appearances.

-作品の説明、コンセプト

私は絵画表現においてペインティングが絵画として成立する瞬間を研究し、 制作しています。絵画表現のペインティングの領域において、描く行為はどの 段階で「完成」を迎えるのかという問いは、絵画史の中でも⻑年議論されてき ました。レオナルド・ダヴィンチは作品を完成させることに大変な時間を要し たと言われています。現代絵画では作者が完成を宣言した時点で「完成品とし ての作品」として成立するということが前提の条件になっています。
私の絵画表現は主観から外れた無意識下、そしてさらに無意識と有意識の混 在する「遊びの中」の追求です。この遊びの中とはオランダの歴史家であるヨ ハン・ホイジンガの研究である「遊びとしての文化」の考え方に近いです。ど の段階で完成であるのか、またそれはどうして完成したのかを再考します。
私の制作では「描かないこと」という線引きを行います。この行為は完成から 逆算して描くということに近く、ある種のアクシデントのようであり、一方で ペインティングの持つ「描き続けられる」という問題を解決していると言える のではないでしょうか。


【Statement・Concept】

I conduct research and create paintings exploring the moment when a painting becomes a complete work of art. The question of when the act of painting reaches "completion" has been a long-standing debate in the history of painting. Leonardo da Vinci, for instance, is known to have invested significant time in completing his works. In contemporary painting, the declaration of completion by the artist is a fundamental premise for a piece to be considered a "finished work."

My artistic expression delves into the realm of the unconscious, detached from subjectivity, and further explores the intersection of the conscious and unconscious within the realm of "play." This notion aligns with the concept of "culture as play" in the research of Johan Huizinga, a Dutch historian. I reexamine at what stage a work is considered complete and contemplate the reasons behind its completion.

In my creative process, I establish boundaries through the act of "not painting." This practice, resembling working backward from completion, introduces a certain accidental quality. Simultaneously, it addresses the challenge inherent in painting – the constant potential for continued drawing or painting.

Graduated from Tohoku University of Art and Design in 2023. Currently engaged in creative activities with the main motif being “osumousan” (sumo wrestler).

小さな可愛らしい存在が、そこに静かに佇んでいます。彼らはモタモタとした動きで、まるで安心感がその場の空気と一体化して、暖かな雰囲気を作り出しています。いつも、私を優しく包み込んでくれるかのような存在です。この作品は、その微細で穏やかな瞬間を通じて、日常の中に潜む安心や温かさを表現しています。

【Statement・Concept】


Tiny, adorable figures are quietly present, moving about with a leisurely pace. Their actions create a sense of reassurance that seamlessly melds with the surrounding air, generating a warm atmosphere. They always seem to gently envelop me. Through this artwork, I aim to capture the subtle and tranquil moments, expressing the comfort and warmth that lurk within the everyday.
